Odditorium, while the region's main theme parks (Sea World, Dreamworld and Movieworld), are only a short drive away.

Surfers Paradise Holidays Planner

For a bit of beach fun, stroll to the golden-sanded beach from your high-rise hotel for a spot of sun-bathing or take in a surfing lesson. Those with a taste for shopping should head to the fashionable boutiques and speciality stores of Main Street, or treat yourself to a beauty treatment in one of the many day spas along the waterfront.

After dark, Surfers Paradise comes alive, with over 40 night-life venues within a 100 metre radius. From glitzy wine bars to traditional pubs and world-class nightclubs where you can dance till dawn, the after-hours entertainment in Surfers Paradise is non-stop fun. There is a constantly changing line-up of top Australian and international bands, DJs, and dance shows. After a sleep-in the next day, it's time to hit the beach and start all over again!

'Schoolies Week' at the end of November (when the town is inundated with students celebrating the end of high school), is best avoided. Every year in October, the V8 Supercars roar into Surfers Paradise for the Gold Coast 600. The event sees the biggest names in international motorsports pitted against the V8 Superstar legends, with the track winding through the downtown area. On the Friday and Saturday of the event a rock concert is held under the stars at the nearby Broadwater Parklands. In March, watch the surfing legends of the Quicksilver Pro-Surfing Competition compete.
