Fraser Island is a place of extraordinary beauty, with pristine white beaches, vibrantly coloured sand cliffs, and more than 100 freshwater lakes. Age-old rainforests grow along the banks of crystal-clear creeks. Fraser Island is 4WD territory, with tracks running along the beaches and in designated forest areas. Flora and fauna abound, and visitors are often rewarded with sightings of wallabies, possums, birds, dolphins, turtles and the wild horses known as Brumbies.
